Robert Leroy Cotten, 66, of Rantoul, IL, passed away on October 2, 2012 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Carroll Addition Community Center. Contributions to the family will be gladly accepted. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert was born August 16, 1946 in Danville, IL, a son of Clifford and Charlotte Campbell Cotten. He married Dorothy Grice Mathews Cotten and they were married for 26 years. Dorothy preceded Robert in death in 1998. Survivors include three daughters, Sara Haley of Danville, IL, Rachal Manlove of Winslow, IN, and Holly Cotten of Clarksville, MO; 7 grandchildren, four brothers, Archie Campbell (Linda) and Larry Campbell(Debbie), all of Veedersburg, IN, Kevin Cotten of Pontiac, IL and Terry Cotten of Taylorville, IL and a sister, Ella Cotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Steve, and two sisters, Elaine and Jeanette.

Robert was a hairdresser and CNA for many years and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
