Robert (Bob) McDonald Clegg, 67, of Urbana died at 10:15 pm Monday (Oct. 15, 2012) surrounded by his family. Bob requested a small private service with his immediate family. A memorial to remember and celebrate Bob's life is planned for the middle of November. Bob was born as the second child to Robert E. Clegg and Lois K. McDonald on July 18th, 1945 in Providence, Rhode Island. He is survived by his older sister, Victoria L. Clegg, and had a younger brother, Douglas A. Clegg, who preceded him in death in 2010. He moved with his family to Manhattan, Kansas in 1948, where he spent his childhood and college years. He met his beloved wife, Margitta Clegg, on a college exchange program to Giessen, Germany. They married in Bad Nauheim, Germany in 1969. Bob and Margitta moved to Ithaca, New York where he pursued his Ph.D. in physical chemistry at Cornell University between 1969 and 1974 under Professor Elliot L. Elson. He moved to GA
