Lt. Col. Robert Earl Busch, 93, of Tucson, Arizona (formerly of Urbana, Illinois) passed away at 8:55 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2015 at LaRosa Health Care Center. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Robert was born November 30, 1921 in Mason City, Illinois to parents Herman Busch and Ruth (Bowman) Busch. He married Reva "Carmen" Shute of Easton, Illinois on November 10, 1945 at Parris Island, South Carolina. She passed away November 2, 2009. Robert and his wife are survived by their four children; Nancy S. Whitlock (Larry) of Oro Valley, Arizona, Col. Robert E. Busch II (Ret.) (Sharon), of Bradenton, Florida, John L. Busch (Stephanie), of Charlottesville, Virginia and Dr. Joseph M. Busch (Janet) of Oro Valley, Arizona, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Julia Blum and Wilma Brown, and one brother, H. Kenneth Busch.

Mr. Busch entered the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942 and retired as a Lt. Col. In 1971. He then worked for many years as a farm manager.
