Robert G. Brown, 85, of Mahomet, died at 9:33 a.m., February 9, 2012 at C-U Regional Rehab Center, Savoy.

Robert Brown was born November 20, 1926 in Hoopeston, IL a son of Hobart and Eva Farnsworth Brown. He married Jean Lake August 5, 1945 in Urbana. She survives.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandy (Steve) Frantz of Decatur; Becky Buirley of Urbana, and Pamm (Mark) Plotner of Mahomet; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Brown worked as a janitor for the U of I. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He and his father ran Hobart's Grocery on Main St in Urbana.
