Richard Felix Yasinski, 74, of Seymour, passed away at 7:06 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. All services are private.

Mr. Yasinski was born on August, 30, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Felix and Helen (Strauss) Yasinski. He married Bonny Powell on November 9, 1971 in Springfield, Illinois; she survives. Also surviving are one son; Richard Dale Yasinski (Rebecca) of Springfield, Missouri, two daughters; Ruth Ann Lozier (Jake) of North Carolina, Bethel Joy Costa (Roger) of Seymour, two step-daughters; Linda Lundberg (Harold) of Mapleton, Donna Sheley of Urbana, brother; Robert Yasinski (Trish) of Dawson, sisters; Dorothy Castleman (Floyd) of Springfield, Alice O'Neill (Steve) of Springfield, uncle; Stanley Yasinski of Auburn, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard graduated from Auburn High School, and later served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the University of Illinois as a Store Keeper for the Large Animal Clinic for 13 years. Richard also enjoyed trapping and taxidermy. Mr. Yasinski was a member of the Lake of the Woods Assembly of God Church in Mahomet, Illinois.
