Richard "Dick" Tarr, 75, of Champaign, passed away at Bo Wood Campground in Sullivan, Illinois Monday, May 26, 2014. A memorial reception at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory will take place at a later date.

Dick was born November 4, 1938 in Clear Lake, Iowa to parents Ralph and Ruth (French) Tarr. He married Marietta "Jane" Miller June 22, 1991 in Urbana, Illinois; she survives. Also surviving are children: Robin Johnson, of Michigan, Jody Kovich, of Michigan, Teresa West, of Arizona, Jeff Bair, of Indiana, Kathy Tarr, of Michigan, Tony Tarr, of Indiana, step-children: Sandy Welch, of Mahomet, Doug Zook, of Danville, Dan Zook, of Catlin, brothers: Don Tarr, of Wisconsin, Bill Tarr, of Iowa, Keith Tarr, of Iowa, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and three brothers.

Mr. Tarr retired from the United States Army Air Force. He then worked as a truck driver for Whiteline Express and later, drove a school bus for the Champaign County School District. He was also a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion.
