Richard Reynolds, 77 of Paxton formerly of Mahomet died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Paxton.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Danville National Cemetery, Danville. J.P. Jones will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Reynolds was born on October 18, 1931 in Champaign, the son of Ollie and Nora Ennis Reynolds. He married Connie Reynolds together they had four sons; Jeffrey Reynolds and Roger Reynolds of Rantoul, Chris Reynolds of North Carolina and Rodney Reynolds of Armstrong. He then married Delores M. Peters on September 4, 1983 in Urbana. She died on April 4, 2008.

Survivors also include one step son, John (Doris) Peters of Thomasboro, four step daughters, Kathie Morgan of Mahomet, Cindra (Larry) Carter of Loda, Harletta (Jim) Hamilton of Champaign and Kristina (Timothy) Malone of Macomb, six grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran.

Mr. Reynolds was a union electrician.

He was a member of the VFW Post 630, Urbana, VFW Post 5520, Champaign, lifetime member of Harley Owners Group, Champaign Chapter, and IBEW. He also enjoyed camping and traveling.
