Richard Weldon (Larry) Larimore, 91, of Urbana died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. Larry was a pioneer of aquatic ecology and spent his life sharing his passion for nature with people from all over the world. He was born in Rogers, Arkansas on February 10, 1923 and spent his childhood exploring the Ozark hills with his father, an avid fisherman, as well as with his naturalist mentor, Dean Crooks.
