Richard E. Hendricks 77 of Paxton died at 4:25 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Paxton Healthcare and Rehab Center, Paxton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Jim Wood will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hendricks was born on August 11, 1938 in Urbana, the son of Earl E. and Mary Myrtle Crane Hendricks. He married Roberta J. Goodwin on August 12, 1958 in Murphysboro, Tennessee; she died September 17, 2004.

Survivors include two daughters; Marcia (Alan) Meyer of Paxton, Marjorie (Joe) Craig of Mattoon, seven grandchildren; Beth (Shane) Carrell, Shawn Painter, Dustin Craig, Sara Gray, Jeran Craig, Jacob Meyer and Allison Meyer, seventeen grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Viola Kaufman, Lois Mullins and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Hendricks retired from the Developmental Services Center, Champaign as a bus driver.

He was a member of Curtis Road Church of God, Champaign.

Mr. Hendricks loved NASCAR, the Cubs and the Illini.
