Urbana, IL- Richard C. Bolton, Sr., 78, of Urbana, died at 4:29 P.M., August 26, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL 61802. Pastor Jud Travis will officiate. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 9-11 A.M., Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bolton was born November 1, 1928, at Decatur, IL a son of Paul and Grace Matzka Bolton. He married Emma Rose Ward on May 8, 1949 at Urbana, IL. She survives. Also surviving are five children; Richard C. Bolton, Jr. of Florida, Edna Meister of Arizona, Paula May of Florida, Linda Hodak of California and Robert Bolton of Urbana. 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren also survive, and two siblings: Peggy Dalzall of Champaign and Al Bolton of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Lillian May Eagan.

Mr. Bolton was a furniture mover for Hutchcraft Van Service, Urbana for 32 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a past member of the Urbana VFW Post 630. He was also a member of Disabled American Veterans.
