Richard "Rick" Glen Bond, 53, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 11:43 A.M., Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 P.M., on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, Friday, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL.

Rick was born on October 1, 1959 in Gary, Indiana, a son of Richard Jackson and Ruth Eleanor (Ruehl) Bond. He married Donna Marie Thuney on April 7, 1988 in Urbana. She survives. Also surviving is a brother, Charles Bond of Bridgeview, IL, a sister, Jackie Flatt of Claremont, Florida, a nephew, three nieces and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rick served in the United States Army from 1978 to 1982, and worked as a truck driver for over 25 years. He had driven for Fed-Ex, Thrift Trucking, and Burkland Distributors, where he also worked as a night warehouse manager. He was a life member of Good Sams Club and the NRA, and he was also a member of JAYCO, CHAMCO Good Sams Club, the Leroy and Danville Rifle and Pistol Clubs, the Urbana V.F.W. and the Illinois State Rifle Association.
