Rebecca Pickett, 66, of Urbana, died at 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Provena Covenant Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana is handling the arrangements.

Rebecca Pickett was born July 8, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA a daughter of Ernest Howard and Cara Shipley Moore.

She is survived by a daughter, Dawn Quinn of Virginia; two brothers, Frank Moore of Dayton, OH and Carl Moore of Champaign.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Ms. Pickett received a BA in French from the U of I. She worked as an administrative assistant at the U of I. She was an avid racquetball player, enjoyed traveling, gardening, and loved old movies.
