URBANA, IL- Ramon Antonio Daguio, Sr., husband of Joanne Arie and longtime resident of Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana, died at 8:27 A.M., July 23, 2007 surrounded by his family.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 708 W. Main St., Urbana, IL. Father Joseph Hogan will officiate. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30A.M., Wednesday morning at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.

Mr. Daguio was born August 15, 1932 at Wahiawa, Hawaii, a son of Eugenio and Hilaria Flores Daguio. He married Gladys Tseu on March 19, 1955 and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2005. He later married Joanne Good Arie on June 3, 2006 at Urbana, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 2 Sons: Gary Owen Daguio of Marina, CA, and Bradley Keala Daguio of Champaign. 1 Daughter: Larrilett Anderson of Las Vegas, NV. 19 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. Siblings: Anastacio Daguio of Hawaii, Miguel Daguio of California, Ofelia (Daguio) Ramos (deceased), Nonato Martin Daguio (deceased) and Darlyn DeMello of Hawaii. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and 1 Son: Ramon A. Daguio, Jr.

Mr. Daguio was retired from the United States Army and worked over 20 years in civil service. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Urbana, American Legion, Urbana V.F.W. #630 and Hawaiian Veterans in Marina, California. He loved to play the guitar and was a member of the Olena Blend band in California. Mr. Daguio was a highly decorated war veteran and he loved his family very much.
