Ralph D. Ormsby, of Champaign, IL, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loved ones on May 29, 2009, after a long illness with cancer. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN, the son of Ralph Ormsby and Hazel Rarick Ormsby, and grew up in Portland, IN. Ralph managed and directed aerospace research and development for the Honeywell Corporation for more than forty years.

Surviving are his wife, Linda L. Ormsby, Champaign, IL; daughter LeAnn M. Ormsby, Champaign, IL; son, Steven C. Ormsby, Minneapolis, MN; two grandsons, Ryan D. Ruzic, of Williamsburg, VA, Brandon P. Ruzic of Champaign, IL, and nieces and nephews.

Renner Wikoff Chapel of Urbana, IL, will handle funeral services. Visitation and prayer service will be held at Renner Wikoff in the Chapel, Wednesday, June 3, 2009, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Burial will be at Washtenong Memorial Gardens, Ann Arbor, MI, on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
