R. Lynn Rice 73 of Champaign died at 7:03 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at home.

There will be no public services. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rice was born on July 26, 1938 in Decatur, the son of Harmon and Martha White Rice. He married Karen Craig on September 28, 1979 in Champaign County, she survives.

Also surviving are five children; Deborah Poundstone of Texas, Mark Rice of Thomasboro, Mike Rice of Monticello, Kristalle LaRoe and Quincy Rice both of Champaign, one brother; Joe Rice of Interlochen, Michigan and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson; Nicholas Poundstone.

Mr. Rice graduated from Monticello High School and Illinois Commercial College. He was an accountant at WCIA and at Mike Smith Accounting.
