Phyllis Ann Wardlow, 61, of Urbana, died 12:34 a.m., Monday, Mat 24, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

All services are private. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana is handling the arrangements.

Phyllis Ann Wardlow was born December 29, 1948 in Effingham, IL a daughter of Phillip and Doris Gillespie Powell. She graduated from Gillman High School. She married Loren Wardlow in 1972 in St. Joseph, IL. He survives.

She is also survived by a son Kevin Wardlow; a sister Sherryl (Gale) Balding; five grandchildren, Misty, Alec, Jake, Nathan, and Michael; and a nephew Larry (Laura) Balding and their daughter Briley Balding.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Wardlow worked as a secretary at the U of I Vet Med for twenty eight years. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, and quilting. She loved to make quilts for newborns and cancer patients. Phyllis never met anyone that she didn't like and always had a smile. She made friends no matter where she went and in any situation.
