Phillip L. Ryan 76 of Champaign died at 9:08 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ryan was born on February 6, 1936 in Charleston, the son of Owen and Willma Butcher Ryan. He married Linda Long on November 5, 1966 in Urbana; she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter; Shannon Curtin of Bondville, Brother-In-Law; Doc Roberts of Republic, Missouri, and two grandchildren; Ryan Curtin and Kaycee Stiverson.

Mr. Ryan retired from the News-Gazette as a pressman.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, car clubs where he showed his 63' Chevy, a Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan.

Mr. Ryan was devoted to his family.
