Philip John Slotness, 65, of Champaign, died at 8:46 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Mr. Slotness was born October 19, 1943 at Joliet, the son of John and Mary Margaret (Strickland) Slotness. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and worked in building maintenance at the University Of Illinois. He is survived by a daughter, Molli O'Leary of Marion, Kentucky, a brother, Robert P. Slotness of Urbana and a grandchild, Angela O'Leary.

Funeral services will be at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2009 with visitation beginning one hour prior to service time. Pastor Mike Shea will officiate.
