Peggy Harmon-Grindley, 63, of Urbana lost her battle with cancer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory in Urbana. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana.

Peggy was born on September 16, 1952 in Princeton, IL to parents Walter and Murial (Campbell) Harmon. Murial preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her nephew, Christopher Johnston.

She is survived by her father, Walter of Tiskilwa, IL, her husband Gary Grindley of Urbana, her daughter Nicole Duge (Bauty Bangsengthong) of Champaign, her grand daughters, Brooklyn and Savannah, and her sisters, Nancy Johnston (Mark) of Tiskilwa, IL, Deb Bohm (John) of Walnut, IL and Cindy Jennings (Dave) of Rhome, TX.

Peggy was a graduate of the University of Illinois and worked as a legal assistant for 35 years for the Balbach family.
