Mr. Meyers was born March 16, 1927 in Urbana, IL to Paul and Garnet Price Meyers. He married Evelyn R. Merrick on July 30, 1965. He is survived by his wife Evelyn; a brother, Dean Meyers, Urbana, IL; a son Dennis Meyers, Port Saint Lucie, FL; three step daughters, Mary Kae Douglas, Port Saint Lucie, FL; Cheryl Ann Kopmann, Palmetto, FL, Carol Lee Whittaker, Island Lake, IL; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Meyers retired from IL Bell Telephone after 35 years service. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Memorials may be sent to a Hospice Organization of the donor's choice in memory of Paul Meyers. The funeral will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel with interment following in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana, IL with military rites accorded by Champaign VFW Post 5520.
