Paul M. Christie, 85, of Champaign, died at 3:05 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held a t 12:00 noon, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Rev. Tom Corum will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Paul Marshall Christie was born January 28, 1927 in Champaign a son of Wayne Elwood and Florence (Gilmore) Christie. He married Opal Marie Boyd February 22, 1953 at the First Methodist Church in Urbana. She survives.

He is survived by a son Brian (Ellen) Christie of Champaign, a daughter Karen Christie of Champaign, and two grandchildren Sara McConnell and Ben Christie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

Mr. Christie worked as a Radiation Tech for Carle Clinic for 38 and half years.
