Paul R. Brown, 69 of Urbana, died at 7:04 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Brown was born July 30, 1940 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the son of Roy E. Brown and Mildred J. (Gallagher) Brown. Surviving are his children; Mary E. Strong (Neil) of Kempton, Sheri L. Weidenburner (Michael) of Ogden, Cari J. Bills (Richard) of Haddam, Ct., P. Blair Brown (Lorie) of White Heath, and Brian R. Brown (Susan) of Champaign. Also surviving are siblings; Roger Brown (Elsie), Robert Brown, Rosemary Grey (Don), and Melody Webb (Scott). Also surviving are grandchildren; Angie Miller, Amber Purvis, Ashley Strong, Sara Ayers, Tanaya Valentine, Tyler Weidenburner, Jared Bills, Daniel Bills, Joshua McConkey, Jacob McConkey, John McConkey, Jeremiah Brown, James Brown, Josiah Brown, Nathaneal Brown, Bethany Brown, Chloe Brown, Micah Brown, and Joseph Brown, and great-grandchildren; Trevor Brown, Taylor Brown, Kalyn Miller, Becca Miller, Tess Miller, Cole Purvis, Mason Purvis, Abby Purvis, Alyssa Ayers, Evelyn Valentine, Zoe Valentine, and Kale McConkey. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Kermit Brown, and sister; Kathleen Broeker.

Mr. Brown was a loving and generous father, grandfather and friend to many. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 841 for over 40 years.
