Patricia Johnson, 86, of Urbana, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, with Rev. Richard McGuire officiating. A visitation at the funeral home will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 7, 1930 to parents Walter and Doris (Wood) Yonce. They preceded her in death. She married Robert Johnson in 1949. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2009. Survivors include daughter, Karen Matteson, of Sadorus, and son, William Johnson, of Urbana. Two grandchildren, Rick and Leslie Matteson, also survive Patricia. She also leaves behind seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Mrs. Johnson worked for more than 30 years as a secretary at the Illinois State Geological Survey in Champaign. Until her health deteriorated, she attended Webber Street Christian Church. She was also very active with the VFW Post #630 Ladies' Auxiliary, and enjoyed spending her free time with her bowling team.

Mrs. Johnson's family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the employees at Amber Glen and Harbor Light Hospice for the meticulous care they provided.
