Patricia Ann Garrett, 80, of Urbana passed away at 3:30 P.M. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Mausoleum, Champaign.

Pat was born in Vandalia, Illinois on August 25, 1934 to parents Harold Clinton and Grace Isabelle (Munter) Gordon. The family moved to Urbana where Pat attended Urbana schools through graduation. On November 15, 1952 she married her high school sweetheart, Harry P. Garrett, in Urbana. He survives. Also surviving are their two children, Mark Garrett (Patricia) of Urbana and Lori Garrett (John Hoagland) of Urbana, one grandchild, Jeremy Garrett (Aimie) of Urbana, and her sister, Nancy Slaton, of Tolono.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Donna Ray.

Pat worked at Busey Bank for forty years before retiring as a Vice President in the Operations Department. During her career she completed several college courses through the University of Illinois' Business Department. Pat was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Urbana. She served for many years on the Urbana High School Class of 1952 Reunion Committee. Pat was also a long-time leader with CHOICES, a local breast cancer support group, and regularly hosted an annual holiday party in her home for the organization.

Pat and her husband were among the founding members of Candlestick Lane in Urbana. Her love for the holiday season transformed the inside of their home each year to a winter wonderland where she hosted many parties. As an avid animal lover, she cared for many petsa
