Obituary

URBANA, IL- Patricia Jo Bohlen(Patti Jo), 75, of Urbana, passed away at 7:55PM on December 27, 2024, peacefully in her home.

Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Rd., Urbana, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia was born August 17, 1949 in Urbana, the daughter of Jack and Margaret(Merlo) Cleland. Survivors include a daughter, Brandy Clegg of Urbana, four grandchildren; Skylar Matteson, Sierra Clegg, Ryder Matteson, and Jacek Newell all of Urbana; 3 great-grandchildren, Maddox Mitchem, Ezra Rearden and Greyson Matteson all of Urbana; a brother, John (Lois) Cleland of Pasadena, Maryland.

Patricia Bohlen was preceded in death by her father, Jack Cleland, her mother and step-father Margaret and Paul Hartrick. Patti spent most of her life in Urbana, but she spent a handful of years in New York. She would always talk positively about her time in Gloversville, NY and about the friends she made there. Of course, her friends in Urbana were just as important to her. Throughout her life, Patti had multiple jobs. Most of which involved bookkeeping/accounting/office management, such as J.M Jones, WICD, and the YWCA. Patti loved reading, cooking and bingeing reality tv. Her true love was her family. She had a very special and unbreakable bond with her daughter and grandchildren. Nothing could make her face light up more than when she would see her 3 great-grandsons. She had 2 cats, Cooper and Lily and grew very attached to Ryder's dog, Bruno. Patti was loving, kind, compassionate, caring & had the best sense of humor. Everyone knew they could count on her when they were going through a tough time, as she was always there to lend a listening ear. She will truly be missed by anyone who knew her.

Celebration of Life is at Just Yolkin (2501 Village Green Pl, Champaign--attached to Jupiter's at The Crossing) on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 12-5 pm. Condolences may be made online at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com.
