Opal Marie Apperson, 98, passed away at 4:54 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign. Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Opal was born on September 6, 1918 in Champaign, IL to parents Jesse and Mary (Blair) Holler. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Earl Holler and one grandson.

She is survived by her children; Judy Humphrey of Middletown, KY and Robert (Linda) Werts of Homer, IL. Four grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren also survive her.

Opal was an office manager for the Girl Scouts of America for over twenty years; she belonged to First United Methodist Church Champaign when she lived in Champaign, Illinois.
