She is survived by her sister in law Rita Bartholomew of Mahomet and nieces and nephews; Debra Custer, Mary Walle, James T. Norma was a graduate of Kingman High School and a member of Kingman Christian Church. Before retirement, she worked in food service at the Florida Avenue Residence Hall at the University of Illinois. Previously she worked for Magnavox in Urbana. Norma was no stranger to hard work.

For enjoyment, Norma enjoyed traveling across the United States with her husband visiting the wide variety of national parks and scenery this wonderful country offers. More recently, Norma loved watching college basketball and you couldn't drag her away from the TV or radio when K State or KU were playing. If Kansas wasn't playing she would watch the Illini and she had a soft spot for the women's teams.
