Nora Gladys Hurdle 93, of Rantoul died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Champaign.

There will be no public services. Burial will be in Danville National Cemetery, Danville. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hurdle was born on November 17, 1914 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. The daughter of Zach and Martha Grant Smith, she married Albert N. Hurdle of LaHarpe on March 4, 1944 in Bloomington. He died on November 7, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters; Shirley L. Brown of St. Petersburg, Florida and Barbara Armstrong of Urbana, five granddaughters and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Hurdle graduated from Colfax High School in 1934.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rantoul.
