Nita June Watson, 86, of Urbana passed away at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital. A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following the visitation at 1:00 p.m.; Pastor Tim Barber will officiate. Burial will be at Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo, Illinois.

Miss Watson was born August 29, 1925 in Iola, Illinois to parents Robert and Olive (Wacker) Watson. They preceded her in death.

Survivors include sister; Carolyn Maddox (Raymond), of Oreana, Illinois, nephew; Greg Maddox, of Carbondale, Illinois, niece; Elisabeth Branch (Matthew), of Viola, Illinois, great-nephews; Quinn and Reese Branch, of Viola, and great-niece; Sophia Branch, of Viola.

Miss Watson worked at Insurance Risk Managers for more than 40 years. She was also an active member of the First Christian Church of Champaign. She loved traveling, gardening, and reading. She loved her great-nephews and great-niece as if they were her own grandchildren.
