Nicholas C. Barger , 28, of Urbana passed away on Friday (July 7, 2017) at his home.

He was born on June 1, 1989, in Urbana,Illinois the son of David Barger and Yvonne Starr both of Urbana.

He is survived by his father David (Johnna) Barger and his mother Yvonne (John) Starr all of Urbana; his Oma Maria Barger of Savoy; his brothers, Joe Barger, Daniel Barger and step-brother Justin Kennedy all of Urbana ; his step-brothers, Mathew ( Kristin ) Anderson and Dylan Anderson both of South Carolina; his step-sister, Morgan Chouinard of Urbana and step-sister, Dee(Joe) Starr Lewis of Champaign and numerous aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Urbana High School in 2007 and then attended Parkland College. He was pursuing a musical career as well as having a home based business.

Nick was an incredibly loving, talented , free spirit who never knew a stranger. He enjoyed playing his drums and other musical instruments. He had an avid passion for creating and appreciating beautiful pieces of artistic work, and he encouraged others to reach deep to find inspiration for their own talents and creative aspirations in designing and marketing their own unique pieces of art. Above all, Nick loved spending time with other people and sharing his big, walking, talking spirit with everyone he knew (and didn't know) and loved.

He will be dearly and deeply missed by all.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday July 12, 2017 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 South Philo Road , Urbana and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 Thursday July 13, 2017 at Quest: A Community of Grace Church at 2004 Philo Road, Urbana. Rev. Casey Taylor will officiate.
