Nellie Marie McDonald, 84 of Belvidere, Illinois, formerly of Urbana. Nellie had been visiting her daughter in Poway, California and passed away at 6:14 A.M. Monday, October 10, 2006 at the Pomerado Hospital, Poway, California.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 16, 2006 at 11 A.M. at the Crusaders Church, Urbana, Illinois. The Rev. Jack Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Stearns Cemetery, Fithian, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Monday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McDonald was born on June 22, 1922 in Fithian, Illinois, the daughter of Sherman and Stella Johnson Musson. She married Olin O. McDonald on October 29, 1939 in Covington, Indiana; he died on September 6, 1992.

Survivors include a son Jerry J. McDonald (Linda) of Belvidere, Illinois and a daughter Judy M. Earle of Poway, California, a brother Jasper Musson of Longview, Minnesota. Nellie had seven grandchildren, Tina Hinkel, Michelle Rimkavich, Kirsten Wind, Mariah Earle, Benjamin Earle, Marissa Earle and Priscella Earle and nine great grandchildren, Jessica Dargenio, Erica Hinkel, Cassandra Hinkel, Heather Rimkavich, Robert Rimkavich, Cymon Wind, Nolan Wind, Georgia Wind and Adeline Rose Wind and one great great grandchild, Logan Dargenio.

Her parents, husband, one son, four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. McDonald graduated from Fithian grade school and Oakwood Township High School. She was a cashier for the Illini Bookstore and a member of the Crusaders Church, Urbana, Illinois.
