Nawal J. Youakim 56, of Urbana died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana, the Rev. Fr. Jules Adator will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Mrs. Youakim was born on January 27, 1954 in Amman, Jordan, the daughter of Anton and Neimeh Handal, She married Joseph Youakim, and he survives.

Also surviving are three sons; Jacoub Youakim of Chicago, JonPaul Youakim of Peoria and Pascal Youakim of Champaign, three brothers; Salem Handal of Amman, Jordan, Elias Handal of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Sami Handal of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and two sisters; Leyla Handal of San Pedro Sula, Honduras and Luna Kattan of Bethlehem, Palestine.

Mrs. Youakim was a computer service technician for Wolfram Research in Champaign.
