Myrna Green, 85, of Champaign, passed away at 7:10 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Helia Healthcare in Champaign. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is handling cremation services.

Ms. Green was born August 24, 1929 in Defiance, Ohio to parents Fred and Beatrice (Yenser) McLennan. They preceded her in death. Myrna is survived by sons: Charles Green, of Kentucky, Stephen "Pete" Green, of Urbana, Dan Green (Julie), of Mississippi, Fred Green (Mary), of Wisconsin, Bill Green (Terri), of Hawaii, sisters: Kay Clark, of Champaign, Ruth Kater (Bernie), of Missouri, and Jane Whitworth, of Georgia. Survivors also include many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Ms. Green sold insurance in the Champaign-Urbana area for a number of years before becoming a Housemother. She served as Housemother in various sororities in Indiana, Illinois, and Georgia. She enjoyed being a part of the young women's lives, and felt enlivened by their energy. She especially loved hearing all the latest news about her girls. Myrna also loved to crochet and was an avid reader.

Ms. Green was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Urbana.
