Monika M. Beasley 62, of Urbana died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Monika was born on February 26, 1951 in Urbana, the daughter of Larry T. and Wanda E. Lewis Potter.

Survivors include one son; Kristopher Beasley of Urbana, one daughter; Kiyoko Beasley of Champaign and three grandchildren.

Monika was a U.S. Army veteran and had been a waitress for Merry Anns Diner.

She was a member of the VFW Post 5520, American Legion Post 24 both of Champaign, Moose Lodge and was an avid Illini fan. She was a real people person with a big heart and loved by many.
