Mildred Arminta Witt (December 28, 1921 - March 14, 2013)

Champaign, IL - Mildred Arminta Witt, 91, of Champaign, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Helia Healthcare Center of Champaign, IL.

A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign, IL. Danny Roberts will officiate.

Mildred was born Dec. 28, 1921 in Somer, IL, the fifth child of John A. and Laura Essa (Sursa) Jared. She was raised on the farm in rural Illinois, educated in a little one room school house and attended Urbana High School. She married William ('Bill') H. Witt on July 21, 1951. She worked as a housekeeper and enjoyed reading her Bible.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and all five of her siblings. A son, Eugene Witt of Champaign, IL, survives his mother.
