Mildred "Mick" Amundson, 89 of Savoy, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with visitation starting at noon. Rev. James Wheeler will officiate. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign. Mrs. Amundson was born on October 9, 1920, the daughter of Grover and Myrle (Prough) Polston. She married Dale R. Amundson on January 6, 1943 in Urbana and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2006. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Polston. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Waldron and Juanita Orr both of Savoy.

Mrs. Amundson is a graduate of Urbana High School and the Burnham Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana for 35 years. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pesotum United Methodist Church.
