Michael F Helbling, 64, of Urbana, passed away at 2:18 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital. A reception will be held from 5:00-6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. A memorial service will be held following the reception at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Michael was born December 7, 1949 in Urbana, Illinois to parents James and Bernadine (Bruns) Helbling. He married Carla Grenko June 18, 1981; she survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Michelle Hinkle (David), of Justin, Texas, Dawn Bilek (Tony), of Fisher, Illinois, siblings, Thomas Helbling (Darlene), of Sacramento, California, Daniel Helbling (Carol), of Mahomet, Illinois, Cathy Langolois (Chuck), of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and grandchildren, Cody, Devin, Khaki, Madison, Carly, and Cash. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael served in the Unites States Navy. He worked in the autobody industry from many years. He lived for golf at The Goat Ranch. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Tee Junior Golf Program. Condolences may be offered online at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com.
