Michael W. Amdor 68 of Urbana died at 12:34 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Private Graveside services will be held at Yearsley cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Mr. Amdor was born on August 28, 1944 in Bloomington, the son of Laurel and Vera Rainey Amdor. He married Marilyn Shumate on May 30, 1980 in Urbana, she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter; Jennifer Amdor of Albuquerque, New Mexico, two brothers; Lowell Amdor of Dawson and Leslie Amdor of Chenoa and one sister; Bonnie Antal of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Amdor was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

He was an assistant project manager for food service at Chanute Air Force Base and then retired as owner of the Rantoul Boat House.

Mr. Amdor loved cooking and fishing.
