CHAMPAIGN, IL- Meldon E. "Bus" Wagner, 88, of Champaign, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 A.M., February 19, 2013 at the Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana, Illinois.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Chaplain Tim Haworth will officiate.

Mr. Wagner was born August 4, 1924 in Niagara Falls, NY, a son of Harold and Grace (Colvin) Wagner. He married Mildred A. Simmers in 1966 at Danville, IL. She preceded him in death in 1995. Survivors include a son, Michael Morgan of Cary, N.C., two daughters, Joyce Phares of Urbana, IL, and Judith Jeffs of Oregon. 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Merlee.

Mr. Wagner graduated from University High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He owned and operated H&W Machine Shop in Urbana for many years and he was a member of the C-U Elks Lodge 2497 and the American Legion Post 24. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the USGA.
