URBANA, IL- Mayme Irene Gilliland, 84, of rural Tolono, died at 9:45 P.M., Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Helia Healthcare Center, Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Visitation will be held 2 hour prior to services. Burial will be held at Prairieview Cemetery, Savoy.

Mrs. Gilliland was born September 17, 1923 in Clay County, Illinois, a daughter of Evert Thomas and Ruth Mae DePoister Freeman. She married Harold Gilliland on January 14, 1941 at Urbana. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1993. Survivors include: 2 Sons: Harold Eugene Gilliland, Jr. of Tolono and John Evert "Butch" Gilliland of Urbana; 2 Daughters: Sandra Lee Rosenbeck of Rantoul and Martha Marie Meade of Urbana; 14 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Bobby, her parents, a sister, a brother and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Gilliland attended Urbana schools and worked for the University of Illinois- Illini Union in the food services department. She was a member of the Champaign County Farm Bureau, the Moose Club and the Urbana V.F.W.
