Mary Margaret Wood 91 of Urbana died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana, the Rev. Fr. Joseph Hogan will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wood was born on November 4, 1918 in Urbana, the daughter of Charles T. and Agnes Eagar Arie. She married Maurice W. Wood on January 12, 1939 in Urbana, he died in October 1978.

Surviving are; one daughter: Roberta C. (Charles) Kachel of Pinehurst, North Carolina, two sons; Charles W. (Betty) Wood of Metropolis and Michael (Carla) Wood of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, two sisters; Patricia Thompson of Champaign and Ruth Miller of Boston, Massachusetts, two brothers; Thomas Arie of Urbana and John Arie of Bondville, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter; Sheree Schaub, two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Wood graduated from Urbana High School, and retired as a payroll clerk for the U of I in the O & M Division.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Urbana, the Catholic Daughters, Somer's Township Home Extension and Champaign County Farm Bureau.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
