Mary Katherine Jones, 71, of Urbana, died 11:31 a.m. Thursday, July 30, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8 at Stone Creek Church, corner of Race St. and Windsor Rd., Urbana, Pastor Gary Grogan officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday August 7 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Mrs. Jones was born December 10, 1937 at Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Ivy and Catherine (Mayberry) Roberson, Sr. She married Gilbert J. Jones August 31, 1961 in Wichita, Kan., he survives. She is also survived by daughters; Tonya L. Jones and Anjie Jones both of Champaign, a brother; Ivy Roberson, Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; three grandchildren; Courtney Jones, Jonathon Hemsouvanh and Dmitri Jones, all of Champaign and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Jones is a graduate of North High School in Wichita, Kan. and attended Riverside College in Calif. She worked in word processing, CMS and Base Supply for the US government at Chanute AFB, Rantoul from 1979-1993 and was a secretary at Scott AFB, Belleville from 1993 to her retirement in 2003. She was a member of Stone Creek Church, Urbana.
