Mary Catherine Hartke 91 of Buckley died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Asta Care, Paxton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Loda, Rev. Fr. Ron Hart will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Buckley.

Mary was born on September 9, 1919 in Loda, the daughter of Daniel and Matilda Streff McNelis. She married Merle Hartke on February 15, 1941 in Loda; he died on June 21, 1994.

Survivors include one son; Ronald S. (Pam) Hartke of Urbana, two granddaughters; Amanda Hartke and Katie Hartke and one great granddaughter; Bria Hartke,.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Mary was a housewife. She and her husband farmed in the Buckley area until they retired in 1988, they then moved to Urbana.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loda where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society and the Iroquois County Historical Society.

Mary enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
