Mary Jane Danner, 86, of Champaign passed away at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 604 Windsor Road, C. Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 10:30 a.m. A private burial will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Oakwood and will be conducted by President Joshua Baird.

Ms. Danner was born Feb. 21, 1929, in Oakwood to Warren and Mary (Palmer) Musson.

Ms. Danner is survived by three children, Forrest Danner (Mary) of Wausau, Wis., Robert Danner (Debbie) of Macomb and Brenda Baird (Rod) of Homer; 13 grandchildren; 19 (soon to be 20) great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death her parents; one son, James Danner; three sisters; and two brothers.

Mary graduated from Oakwood High School in 1947. She later began work in the Housing Department of the University of Illinois. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1969, where she served as the Sunday-school teacher, librarian and a member of the Relief Society. Her hobbies included family genealogy, crocheting and gardening.
