Mary Ellen Crawford, 96 of Urbana died at 3:20 p.m. Sunday July 15, 2012 at the Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana.

Graveside services will be Thursday, July 19 at the East Lawn Cemetery, Urbana, Rev. J. Michael Smith officiating.

Mrs. Crawford was born in Champaign on May 23, 1916, the daughter of Charles William and Mary Jane (Mumaw) Valentine. She married Elmer Dean Crawford and he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a son, Walter Eugene Johns, six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a granddaughter, Tina Mumm and several nieces and nephews.
