Mary V. Cook, 87, of Urbana died Thursday November 30, 2006 at home. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 5, 2006 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel 1900 S. Philo Rd Urbana. Re. Victor Baderschneider will oficiate. Burial will be in East lawn Cemetery Urbana. Visitation will be Monday December 4, 2006 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Mary V. Cook was born June 11, 1919 in Dewey, IL the oldest child of Herman and Golda Moody Peavler. She married Clifford Cook December 24, 1938 in St. Joseph, IL. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2000. She is survived by a son Terry Cook of Mahomet, IL; a brother Berl Peavler of Thomasboro, IL; four sisters Barbara Rewerts of Thomasboro,IL; Janice Kennedy of Tolono, IL; Dottie Downs of Gifford, IL; Patricia LaPier of Plattsburg, NY; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and a sister. Mary Cook worked as a hostess for the Red Wheel Restaurant in Rantoul unttil she retired.
