Obituary

Marvin E. Bryant 75 of Mansfield died at 10:35 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bryant was born on September 10, 1937 in Naylor, Missouri, the son of Peyton and Mary Bryant. He married Cindy Denhart on May 9, 1992 in Mansfield, she survives.

Also surviving are six children; Tom Bryant, Bill Bryant and Ron Bryant all of Urbana, one daughter; Julie (Jim) Augsburger of Jonesboro, Tennessee, Jim (Louise) Bryant of St. Joseph, and Bob (Kara) Bryant of White Heath, three brothers; Lowell Bryant of Denton, Texas, Glen Bryant of Byron Center, Michigan and Roy Bryant of Davie, Florida, nine grandchildren; Josh, Lee, Andrew, Shannon, Rachel, Cassandra, Trevor, Olivia and Tanner and nine great grandchildren; Mason, Mallory, Jenny, Eli, Madaline, Silas, Seth, Kileigh and Taylor. Numerous nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Willie and Floyd, five sisters; Beulah, Ina, Lillian, Blanche and Ruby and two grandchildren; Aaron and Damon.

Mr. Bryant worked at the Courier Newspaper for 19 years before retiring as a truck driver.

He was a member of the NRA. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, NASCAR and his family.
