Mark Edwin Green 64 of Urbana died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at home.

Private Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Green was born on November 13, 1948 in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Dr. Philip and Elizabeth Medlin Green of Arcola.

Surviving are his mother of Arthur, one sister; Phyllis (Curt) Turner of Decatur, one niece; Deborah (Drew) Johnson of Decatur, one nephew; Aaron (Michelle) Turner of Elmhurst, one great niece and three great nephews; Emily and Nicholas Johnson , Ryan and William Turner.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents; Russell and Mae Green of Sidell and John and Esther Medlin of Kirksville, Missouri.

Mr. Green graduated from Arcola schools and Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

He was a chemist for Pfizer Company in Groton, Connecticut, and a Microbiologist in research for Syntex in Mountain View, California. He retired from Solo Cup in Urbana as a computer analyst.
