Marjory F. King, 82, of Champaign, died at 8:01 a.m., April 11, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Robin King will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marjory King was born May 13, 1929 in Manhattan, KS a daughter of Fred Albert Shannon and Edna May Jones Shannon. She married Charles W. King August 20, 1948 in Champaign. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2008.

She is survived by two daughters Jessie L. King of Champaign, and Marjorie E. (Ross) Veach of Urbana; a son Charles W. (Mary) King Jr. of Ashland; five grandchildren, Tommy King, David King, Rachel King, Christopher King, and Jason Dalton; two great grandchildren, Darrin Lund, and Owen Fox.

A brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. King worked in the U of I mailing center for 26 years. She enjoyed reading, travel, music, cats, and spending time with her grandchildren.
