URBANA, IL-  Marilyn Joan Michal, 77, of Urbana, IL, passed away at 5:02 AM, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center in Champaign.

There will be a visitation for Marilyn from 5-7 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL.  Graveside services will be held at 1PM, Friday, January 4, 2019 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in North Riverside, Illinois.

Marilyn was born in Chicago, IL, on April 15, 1941, a daughter of Leslie and Sophie Marie(Boehm) Michal.  She graduated from the University of Illinois with a master's in business.  While in graduate school she took a job on campus as a resident advisor.  Her work with students living in the resident halls led her to work for the university as Assistant Director of Residential Life For Programming and Residence Hall Association, having retired after 35 years of service in 1999.

Marilyn was past president of the Antiques Study Group and was a past local disaster volunteer coordinator for the American Red Cross.
